So I just got an espresso machine for Christmas, and I have to say, I predict a whole lot of money being saved on coffees!!! Now that the prices of fancy coffee drinks have gone up to around $4 (even for a small in some cases!), having my own espresso machine is golden. After getting through the learning curve (i.e., Folger's "espresso roast" coffee is NOT espresso, but espresso flavored coffee, and thus will not give you the desired results when trying to make espresso), I have been making a drink a day and it's only costing me approximately the same amount I was paying per day before, but now it's per week! That's an awesome thing for me, the broke college student. AND I don't have to think about how long it's going to take me to pay off the machine because it was a gift! Thanks Mom & Dad!!! :) The machine I got, which is an upgraded version of the one I had on my wedding registry, is the KRUPS KP2000/2010 dual espresso & coffee maker. If anyone is looking into getting one, I highly recommend this one! Like I said, it takes a bit of time to figure out how to get the quality shot, but after that it's a piece of cake and easy to maintain.
